"This campground was a staple in my childhood. My grandparents became second owners in 1985 (when u was born) then sold it/ retired in 1997. No one in my family have physically been back since my grandparents sold it. I had looked it up a handful of times in the past, it was not looking good for a while/ not very welcoming. It had changed hands a few times. I looked it up again just out of curiosity and saw “NEW OWNERS”. They have genuinely given it a new breath of life!! They offer bluegrass jams the second Saturday of every month free/ open to public.(unless someone books out the club house for other reasons). They have a really nice playground and separate dog park. They added more areas to dispose of garbage/ keeping everything cleaned. They have started a camper air B&B, so if you’re traveling/ need a place to stay and don’t have a camper or a tent. They will work with you (which is really awesome!!). They added a fishing pond, and are in progress with some cabins. I was absolutely impressed with the new owners work/ staff also. Lavana (I hope I spelled that right) and Dorothy were so welcoming!! I was able to share some photos and give some history to them about the grounds. I am rooting for the new owners/ staff. I see the amazing place this is/ will continue to be. We will be back again."
